KRS-ONE Prepares To Release “Maximum Strength” On Koch Records

Widely recognized as one of the greatest MC’s of all time, The Blastmaster KRS-ONE has certainly achieved legendary status in the hip-hop world and beyond. Nicknamed “The Teacher” for his socially conscious raps, he continues to grind it out year after year. Maximum Strength is a collection of unreleased material dating back to 1999. A must-have for all collectors, it stands up to some of his finest work and is destined to become a fan favourite as many of these tracks have been sought after for ages.

The new “unreleased” album Maximum Strength is one of two brand new KRS releases in the month of February the other being “Adventures In Emceeing” which will be released on a different label, but Maximum Strength will be in stores February 19th through Koch Records and boasts heavy hitter features such as Redman, Talib Kweli, Cam’ron, Wyclef Jean & Killah Priest just to name a few.

  1. I’m glad to hear he’s finally releasing this. I wonder, is 5 Bouroughs the explicit version, b/c that song was a classic back in ’99.

  4. Checked out the previews and the albums is gonna be SICK! awsome beats and killer lyrics,
    however i don’t understand why he’s got Cam’ron on it?
    i mean i dig his beats, but his lyrics are far from underground, kinda makes KRS look bad and makes cam’ron look good, i don’t wanna comment too much on 1st track as i don’t know what their connection is but can someone explain why this chump is on his album.

  8. The album is sooooooo tight. Best of KRS 1,esp New York,HIP HOP,and Beware.

    This is hip-hop @ its fullest. Hip-hop has meaning,its not rap there is a big difference. Unlike the Liwanyne(lil Wonton,Lil Won)and all the other garbage out there,that’s out there. Krs 1,Rakim,Nas,BDKane,Slick Rick,Common,Mos Def,Talib,Tribe/Quest,etc stand-up,and 2 the non-hip-hoppers; I say this
