SteadyFlow (Cyrano Sinatra & SharpCuts) – Osso Buco (Single)

NC Hip-Hop duo, SteadyFlow (Cyrano Sinatra & SharpCuts) have returned, offering up “Osso Buco,” as the 1st single from forthcoming concept album “Good Eats,” SharpCuts on the boards, with backing from Centric’s Free At Last Music imprint. The title, means “bone with a hole,” in Italian, is used metaphorically as Cyrano Sinatra waxes philosophic about AmeriKKKan injustices, while indicting his region’s “Bible-Belt” biases. Heralded NC poet-artist-organizer Dasan Ahanu joins this collab to channel poetic justice, making “Osso Buco” a delectable first bite of SteadyFlow’s upcoming “soul food” album.

Centric – Ignorant (Single) (feat. Sadat X, Jeanius & Trife)

Bay-area producer/MC Centric drops off the first single off his album ‘Why Not?’, a boom-bap laced track ‘Ignorant’ featuring Free At Last Music label-mate Jeanius and the legendary Sadat X (Brand Nubian), produced by Trife (Free At Last). Each MC on ‘Ignorant’ tackles the word from a different perspective. Sadat’s verse blasts rappers for thinking and acting “ignorant”; Jeanius’ verse is designed to wake up other rappers and the public in general who may be sleeping on (i.e. “ignorant” to) what Free At Last is doing musically and Centric kicks a straight “ignorant” verse with a deeper meaning once broken down.

Centric is an artist with a lengthy resume, having previously worked with the likes of Sean Price, Kool G Rap, Skyzoo, Black Rob, Rapper Big Pooh, Wordsmith and more, his forthcoming debut album ‘Why Not?’ is slated for an early January, 2014 release, via Universal/Motown.
