In this Q&A he talks about his new project, what hes experienced so far in his career and what hes got planned for the future, make sure you check out the new Pacewon track entitled “The Chase” at the end of the interview.

Dub MD: Pacewon, What’s good?
Pacewon: What’s good?

Dub MD: For those who don’t know, could you just give a short review of what you’ve experienced in your rap career up until now?
Pacewon: In my rap career I’ve experienced working with The Fugees, KRS-One, Redman, Method Man, Kurupt, Eminem, Rah Digga, The Outsidaz, Morcheeba, traveling, performing, creating, and a whole bunch of other stuff that would take hours to list!

Dub MD: Coming from Newark, what do you think of the New Jersey music scene right now?
Pacewon: Coming from Newark, I think the New Jersey music scene is on it’s way to the top, there are a lot of New Jersey rap artists that are incredible like Cymarshal Law, Kosha Dillz, Ill Souls, etc and even some vets like Redman, The Lords Of The Underground, and The Artifacts, that are putting in work, still.

Dub MD: What do you think of the commercialisation of Hip Hop right now, do you think its showing respect to its pioneers?
Pacewon: I think the commercialisation of Hip Hop is cool and necessary and I think Hip Hop is respecting it’s pioneers now. BET just gave KRS-ONE an award and I also dig the younger Hip Hop acts like Soulja Boy and Hurricane Chris, the evolution of Hip Hop is continuing!

Dub MD: Do you have a new project in the works? whats it called? and what can heads out there expect from it?
Pacewon: I’ve got a new project in the works called “The Only Color That Matters Is Green”. Heads can expect an entertaining, interesting, relevant Hip Hop album.

Dub MD: With this project, what artists & producers are you connecting with this time round?
Pacewon: On this album I’m connecting with my left hand man Mr. Green, He produced the whole joint and as far as artists are concerned I’ve got a couple home town heroes and a young lady named Mary Lou.

Dub MD: What’s your label situation like just now?
Pacewon: My label situation is cool, this album will be promoted and distributed by Raw Poetix an independent record label in Cali.

“I think Hip Hop is respecting it’s pioneers now. BET just gave KRS-ONE an award and I also dig the younger Hip Hop acts like Soulja Boy and Hurricane Chris, the evolution of Hip Hop is continuing”

Dub MD: What do you think is your most defining and unique characteristic that sets you apart from every other emcee out there?
Pacewon: I think my most defining and unique characteristic that separates me from every other MC is word play or maybe punchlines? Timing? Delivery? I don’t know exactly but I have a couple ideas, can anyone tell me? If you can hit me at
www.myspace.com/pacewon and let me know!

Dub MD: If you could describe yourself as an emcee in 4 words, What would they be?
Pacewon: If I described myself as an MC in 4 words they would be” Powerful, Artistic, Creative & Expressive” and that spells out Pace (laughs) I’m a friccin genius!

Dub MD: For your fans who haven’t seen you perform yet, are you planning a worldwide tour anytime soon?
Pacewon: I’m planning a tour but I’m not sure if it will be worldwide. However I am sure that it will be international, I’m plan on hitting up Africa, Europe, and America. I’m trying to get Austrailia, South America, and Asia. Then it would be worldwide and I would be so official. (laughs)

Dub MD: What is on tap for Pacewon for the rest of 2007 and beyond?
Pacewon: For the rest of 2k7 and beyond I will be revolutionizing Hip Hop, getting money, finding new ways of getting money, being nice to all people, using and partially abusing alcohol, tobacco and drugs (Not cocaine or heron but almost every other drug) having the kinkiest (not disturbingly kinky but regular kinky) sex possible, and living my life to the fullest extent. Word to Big Bird!

Dub MD: Do you have anything to say to the fans? anything you wanna get off your chest? any shout outs?
Pacewon: I just want to say to any fans that I might have to be true to yourself, take care of yourself, be safe, and let’s carry on the tradition of making, creating, changing, and molding the face of the world. Let’s be good to each other and I’d like to shout out everybody on the face of the planet. Thanks for everything!
