Wale New Album Set To Drop On Allido / Interscope Records

Interscope Records and Grammy Award winning producer Mark Ronson announced today that Interscope will be merging with Ronson’s independently operated Allido Records. The inaugural album of this partnership will be none other than Wale, the Washington DC MC who’s been creating quite a buzz for a man with no LP. Lost in the announcement of the merger is Wale’s album release date, which is expected to drop by year’s end. It won’t be eight months before you hear new Wale material however, as Billboard is reporting he’s set to drop a mixtape next month titled, “A Mixtape About Nothing,” inspired by the TV show “Seinfeld.” They’re also reporting the show’s co-star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, will be appearing in a skit on the mixtape.
